Project Engineer – Electrical

About the role

The Project Engineer – Electrical will lead the execution of electrical and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) works on construction projects across West Africa. The role ensures that all installations are completed safely, on schedule, and in line with approved designs and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complete execution of electrical and ELV installations, including power, lighting, fire alarm, CCTV, BMS, access control, and structured cabling.
• Prepare and review engineering documents such as shop drawings, BOQs, coordinated drawings, and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate closely with civil, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth project progress.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, technicians, and site teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, enforce safety regulations, and apply QA/QC procedures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, government authorities, and utility providers for approvals, inspections, testing, and service connections.
• Plan daily site activities, allocate manpower and resources, track progress, and resolve technical issues to meet project milestones.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection requests, testing and commissioning documentation, as‑built drawings, and final handover documents.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage electrical and ELV works on construction projects.
• Experience supervising contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, QA/QC procedures, and engineering best practices.
• Effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
