Project Cost Controller – Construction (Lagos, Nigeria)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Cost Controller to manage financial performance of construction projects in Lagos, Nigeria. The role involves overseeing budgeting, cost control, and on‑site financial reporting while collaborating closely with the senior cost controller and project management team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management for assigned construction projects.
• Process incoming invoices, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with purchase orders and receipts.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact for financial reporting, coordinating with the senior cost controller at head office.
• Partner with the project management team to support timely project delivery.
• Oversee all aspects of project accounting, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project cost control, preferably in road, bridge, or dam projects.
