Project Controls / Planning Officer

About the role

The Project Controls / Planning Officer is responsible for developing, monitoring and controlling project schedules, costs and progress so that projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with company objectives. The position is based in Port Harcourt.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans.
• Monitor project progress and prepare periodic performance reports.
• Track project costs, budgets and resource utilization.
• Identify schedule risks and delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of activities.
• Prepare project dashboards, forecasts and progress updates.
• Support project planning, scheduling and change management activities.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in project planning or project controls, preferably in the oil & gas or engineering industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Project planning and scheduling, project controls, cost and schedule monitoring, risk management, data analysis and reporting.
