Programme Manager Student Journey & Alumni Engagement

About the role

The Programme Manager will lead the in‑country delivery and growth of Alumni UK and international student mobility initiatives. This role focuses on building strong relationships with alumni, universities, education agents and other stakeholders to enhance engagement with UK education opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery and expansion of Alumni UK, Study UK and International Student Mobility initiatives.
• Develop and nurture alumni and professional networks through community building, storytelling and ambassador activities.
• Coordinate communications, digital campaigns and audience outreach aligned with global engagement strategies.
• Design and deliver events, webinars, networking sessions and professional development programmes.
• Support the British Council’s brand by promoting Alumni and study programmes and positioning the UK as a preferred study destination.
• Promote an inclusive, anti‑racist culture and champion equality, diversity and inclusion in all activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme management, stakeholder relationship management or alumni engagement.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with universities, education agents, counsellors and employers.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to showcase impact through alumni stories and success narratives.
• Experience coordinating events, webinars and digital outreach campaigns.
• Commitment to fostering equity, well‑being and belonging within the workplace.
