Programme Manager – Innovation Projects

About the role

The Ibom Innovation Network (IIN) is seeking a dedicated Programme Manager to lead and coordinate multiple projects, most notably the upcoming Akwa Ibom Tech Week 2025. This full‑time, six‑month contract position will be based at the IIN secretariat in Uyo and will work closely with the board, volunteers, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage several simultaneous projects, with primary focus on Akwa Ibom Tech Week 2025.
• Facilitate clear communication among project teams, volunteers, and the IIN board.
• Organise and lead meetings, ensuring alignment on objectives and timelines.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Track project progress and financials, providing regular status reports to the board.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Promote a culture of accountability and commitment among volunteers and staff.
• Support the secretariat in improving overall project‑management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in project management or a similar role.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project‑management tools and software.
• Experience in budgeting and financial tracking.
