Program Manager – Immunization Demand Generation (Consultant)

About the role

Evidence Action is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Immunization Demand Generation (IDG) pilot in Nigeria. Based in the Abuja Country Office, the role will coordinate implementation across Nasarawa and Oyo states, overseeing digital reminders, community ambassadors, and targeted incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall coordination of the IDG pilot with State Governments and LGA structures, working through State Coordinators.
• Provide technical direction on adapting and implementing digital reminders, community ambassador activities, and targeted incentives.
• Develop and maintain implementation guidance, SOPs, tools, and materials for use by State Coordinators.
• Support finalisation of implementation arrangements, including selection of LGAs, wards, and health facilities.
• Coordinate with external partners such as J‑PAL on monitoring, learning, and evaluation.
• Supervise, mentor, and manage performance of the two State Coordinators to ensure consistent implementation.
• Oversee collection and processing of caregiver information for digital reminder systems.
• Guide nomination, recruitment, and engagement of community ambassadors and develop vaccine‑related messaging.
• Manage targeted incentive mechanisms, including transport support and integration of SQ‑LNS where applicable.
• Coordinate capacity‑building activities and training for State, LGA, and facility personnel.
• Oversee monitoring, learning, and evaluation activities, consolidating findings for programme improvement.
• Represent Evidence Action in national, state, and LGA coordination meetings and maintain communication with government focal points.
