Professional Driver for Construction Projects

About the role

DBLO Construction Nigeria LTD is seeking an experienced driver to transport staff, visitors and materials safely between meetings, sites and events across Kogi State. The role requires punctuality, discretion and the ability to adapt to changing traffic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Transport assigned passengers and cargo to and from designated locations, ensuring on‑time arrival.
• Plan optimal routes using current traffic information and propose alternatives to avoid delays.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, schedule routine servicing and handle minor maintenance such as fluid checks, tire pressure and lighting.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption and trip details, and submit required reports and receipts.
• Observe all road safety laws, company policies and security protocols while handling confidential documents or parcels.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of verifiable professional driving experience, preferably in Abuja.
• Valid Nigerian driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of Abuja and Kogi road networks, landmarks and traffic patterns.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Two professional referees and ability to pass background and reference checks.
