Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

About the role

Combination Industries produces Niksnacks, a popular cheeseball snack, and values efficient production, food safety and continuous improvement. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Production Manager in Calabar who oversees daily production, keeps manufacturing schedules on track and ensures food safety and quality standards are met. The manager coordinates and supervises production staff, organizes shift plans and monitors output to reduce waste.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities and ensure manufacturing schedules are met
• Coordinate and supervise production staff, organize shift plans and monitor output
• Manage inventory of raw materials
• Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams and enforce safety procedures
• Track production metrics, prepare reports for leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Experience in production management, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing, able to oversee shifts and meet output targets
• Prior experience supervising factory or plant operations
• Diploma or degree in engineering, food science, industrial management or a related field is an advantage
• Willingness to work on-site in Calabar and flexibility for shift or weekend work when production requires it

Required skills

• Team leadership, coaching and performance monitoring
• Knowledge of food safety standards, quality control and regulatory compliance
• Analyzing production data, managing inventory and using basic manufacturing or ERP software
• Problem-solving and effective communication with maintenance, logistics and quality assurance teams
