Production Intern

About the role

The Production Intern will support the furniture design and manufacturing team by creating detailed CAD drawings and assisting in the preparation of production documentation. This role offers hands‑on exposure to furniture assembly methods, machining processes, and quality standards within a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D drawings, 3D models, and CAD designs for sofas, beds, chairs, tables and other furniture items.
• Prepare production, assembly and technical drawings required for manufacturing.
• Update existing design files to reflect production changes and improvements.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), cutting lists and material specifications.
• Participate in factory inspections, take measurements and follow up on production progress.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Support prototype development, product testing and continuous design enhancements.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Product Design, Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, measurements and furniture construction.
• Portfolio showcasing previous furniture design work.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in a collaborative, deadline‑driven environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in SketchUp or similar CAD software.
