Production Design Intern – Furniture Manufacturing

About the role

Majeurs Holdings Limited, a premier luxury furniture manufacturer, is looking for a Production Intern (Design) to join its factory team in Lekki, Lagos. The intern will help translate design concepts into production‑ready 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, bills of materials and cutting lists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D assembly drawings, 3D models and technical blueprints for sofas, beds, chairs and custom furniture using CAD software.
• Generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), cutting lists, material specifications and keep manufacturing files up to date.
• Conduct factory inspections, take precise measurements and assist in prototype development.
• Collaborate with production engineers and craftsmen to optimise designs for efficient machining and assembly.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Product Design, Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous furniture design projects.
• Strong interest in luxury craftsmanship, wood and upholstery manufacturing.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Advanced proficiency in SketchUp.
• Understanding of furniture construction, joinery techniques and manufacturing processes.
