Production Cost Accounting Officer

About the role

Coscharis Farms Limited is looking for a detail‑oriented Production Cost Accounting Officer to manage and analyse production costs for its rice milling operations in Igbariam, Anambra State.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor production costs, analyse paddy‑to‑rice yield, losses and by‑products.
• Reconcile production records with warehouse, inventory and accounting data.
• Monitor raw material, packaging and other production expenses.
• Produce daily and monthly costing and variance reports.
• Ensure accurate posting of production transactions in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/ERP.
• Support inventory valuation and reconciliation of paddy, finished goods and production materials.
• Identify cost variances, inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality and Finance teams.
• Assist month‑end closing and preparation of management reports.

Required profile

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production costing, preferably in rice milling, food processing, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
• Professional certification (ICAN/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.

What we offer

• Competitive gross salary of ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
