Product Support Sales Representative (Marine)

About the role

The Marine Product Support Sales Representative will drive sales of parts, units and service solutions for Caterpillar products across the Port Harcourt and Rivers State region. You will build relationships with existing and new customers, promote support programmes and ensure timely delivery and invoicing.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve agreed sales targets and performance objectives.
• Visit customers in the region to prospect for parts, unit sales and service opportunities.
• Sell and implement product support programmes such as CTS, REMAN and SOS.
• Ensure prompt delivery of parts or services, including back‑ordered items, and issue invoices for early payment.
• Prepare weekly call plans and summary reports; maintain up‑to‑date customer profiles.
• Disseminate product and service information from Caterpillar and related suppliers.
• Resolve customer complaints quickly to retain goodwill.
• Participate in debt‑collection activities and report competitive activities.
• Implement marketing, promotional programmes and conversion actions for Caterpillar products.
• Manage company assets responsibly.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Agricultural or Marine Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years of product or product‑support sales experience in Marine, Oil & Gas or a related industry.
• Hands‑on experience in engine maintenance and repairs (desired but not mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of spare parts.
• Valid driver’s licence.
