Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and acquiring goods and services needed for Bucch Energy Limited’s manufacturing operations. This role ensures cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining quality, delivery reliability and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability and delivery performance.
• Obtain, compare and analyse quotations to secure competitive pricing.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and related procurement documents.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and contract conditions with vendors.
• Coordinate timely delivery of goods and services and monitor inventory levels with the Store/Inventory team.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues and support internal departments with purchasing specifications.
• Verify that purchased items meet required quality standards.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses and expenditure summaries.
• Support budget control by tracking procurement costs and identifying savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIPS, CIPSMN or equivalent is an added advantage.
