Procurement Officer

About the role

Americare Medical Distributors Ltd is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of medical equipment, pharmaceutical products, and general supplies. You will play a key role in ensuring that the company maintains a reliable inventory while controlling costs and upholding quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and procure medical devices, pharmaceuticals and office supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate timely restocking and work closely with warehouse, showroom and pharmacy teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and inventory documentation.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of three years (36 months) of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Prior exposure to the healthcare sector is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
