Procurement Manager – Pharmacy Retail

About the role

A reputable pharmacy located on Victoria Island, Lagos is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing operations. You will ensure optimal stock levels of pharmaceutical and retail products while achieving the best cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for drugs, medical supplies, and retail inventory, building a reliable supplier network.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to maximize value and reduce costs.
• Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts.
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance on quality, delivery timelines, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with NAFDAC and other regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Coordinate with store and operations teams to align procurement with sales and inventory needs.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Pharmacy, or a related field (MSc is an advantage).
• 3–5 years of experience in retail procurement, preferably within pharmacy, healthcare, or FMCG.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management abilities with high integrity and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with procurement and inventory management software.
