PRN Medical Assistant – Part‑Time

About the role

Marathon Health is seeking a PRN (as‑needed) Medical Assistant to join its primary‑care team in Sokoto. This part‑time position supports physicians by handling both front‑desk and clinical duties, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, maintain clean and stocked rooms.
• Collect and verify patient health information and update medical records.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, and apply wound dressings.
• Assist physicians during procedures and prepare patients for exams.
• Coordinate with contracted laboratories for additional testing.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations under provider orders.

Required profile

• Entry‑level medical assistant with up to 12 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to work part‑time on an as‑needed (PRN) schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
