About the role

The Principal will lead Florence Memorial College in Port Harcourt, overseeing both academic and administrative functions. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring curriculum delivery, and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and manage day‑to‑day operations of the college.
• Supervise teaching staff, coordinate academic schedules and monitor classroom instruction.
• Ensure compliance with educational regulations and college policies.
• Oversee student discipline, welfare and support services.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with parents, guardians and the wider community.
• Lead school improvement initiatives and professional development programmes for staff.
• Promote a respectful, inclusive and safe school culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3‑5 years proven experience in an educational institution.
• Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification.
• Strong leadership, communication and administrative abilities.
