Portfolio Manager – Energy Infrastructure

About the role

Brendan Nicholas Holdings is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead its Energy Infrastructure Desk in Abuja. This is a full‑time, on‑site execution role where you will own the subsidiary, steward capital, and ensure continuous portfolio performance even in the absence of senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Govern the energy infrastructure subsidiary and manage its P&L.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies and development finance institutions (DFIs).
• Deploy, monitor, and optimise capital across energy projects.
• Drive operational execution in high‑pressure environments such as startups, turnarounds, or large infrastructure mandates.
• Report financial results, cash‑flow statements, and DFI structures to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience with full P&L accountability.
• Proven track record of capital deployment and performance ownership.
• Experience in a high‑pressure execution setting (e.g., startup, turnaround, infrastructure).
• Demonstrated ability to build teams, systems, processes, or strategic relationships from scratch.
• Direct operational experience within Nigeria’s institutional and commercial landscape.

Required skills

• Financial analysis and cash‑flow modelling.
• Understanding of DFI financing structures and investment committee submissions.
• Strong knowledge of energy infrastructure markets.
