Pharmacy Technician / CHEW / Auxiliary Nurse

About the role

A busy community pharmacy is looking for a qualified and dedicated Pharmacy Technician / CHEW / Auxiliary Nurse to join its team. The role supports the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory and providing good customer service to patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescriptions accurately.
• Provide basic information to patients on medication use, as directed by the pharmacist.
• Manage stock, including receiving, shelving and monitoring expiry dates.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) medications and health products.
• Keep the pharmacy environment clean and organised.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy Technician / CHEW / Auxiliary Nurse from a recognised institution.
• Registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) is an advantage.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a community pharmacy is a must.

Required skills

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
