Pharmacy Operations Manager

About the role

The Pharmacy Operations Manager will lead daily pharmacy activities, ensuring smooth workflow, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality service. This role combines leadership, inventory control, and strategic planning to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, maintaining efficient workflow and compliance with regulations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff to achieve high performance.
• Monitor inventory levels, procurement, stock rotation, and expiry management to minimise losses.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare operational reports, analyse performance metrics, and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D) from a recognised institution.
• Valid practising pharmacy licence.
• Minimum 3–4 years of pharmacy operations experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, inventory management, and quality‑assurance standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy management software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
