Pharmacist – Gwagwalada Branch

About the role

The Pharmacist at the Gwagwalada branch will deliver safe, effective, and client‑centered pharmaceutical care to support ICARH’s health advocacy programmes. This full‑time position involves dispensing medicines, verifying prescriptions, counseling clients, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications and verify prescription accuracy.
• Counsel clients on drug use, side effects, and adherence.
• Maintain pharmacy records and ensure compliance with national pharmacy regulations.
• Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and support procurement processes.
• Collaborate with clinical and program teams to develop treatment protocols for PLWHAs and other key populations.
• Participate in health‑education, quality‑improvement activities, and advocacy initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) with current registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
• Proven competence in dispensing, medication counseling, pharmacovigilance, and inventory management.
• Interest or experience in HIV care, sexual and reproductive health, and working with sexual minorities in a rights‑based framework.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions, use pharmacy information systems, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Gwagwalada and support occasional outreach activities.
