Paver Operator & Crew Members – Road Construction

About the role

Maton Engineering Nigeria Ltd. is seeking full‑time Paver Operator and crew members for its Warri site. The operator will run asphalt paving machines to place, compact and finish road surfaces according to project specifications, while crew members will support the paving process.

Key responsibilities

• Operate asphalt pavers and related equipment, adjusting settings to meet surface tolerances.
• Monitor asphalt flow, compaction and finishing quality throughout the paving operation.
• Prepare work areas, handle materials and assist with equipment setup and cleaning.
• Perform minor maintenance on paving machinery and keep the site organized.
• Follow all safety protocols and coordinate with site supervisors and other trades.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating asphalt pavers or similar road‑construction equipment.
• Hands‑on experience in road construction, asphalt laying or site preparation.
• Ability to read and follow basic construction drawings and supervisor directives.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Effective teamwork and clear communication skills.
• Basic literacy and numeracy; vocational training or certifications in equipment operation are beneficial.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on project schedules.
