About the role
The Partnerships & Grants Officer will work in a hybrid setting from Abuja, supporting Girls and Goals Initiative’s mission to advance sexual and reproductive health, menstrual health and gender equality. The role focuses on identifying funding opportunities, building strategic collaborations, and managing grant lifecycles.
Key responsibilities
- Identify NGOs, schools and other institutions for potential collaborations.
- Draft outreach emails, concept notes and compelling grant proposals.
- Research and monitor grant and funding opportunities.
- Liaise with schools and partners to secure permissions and coordinate activities.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date database of partners, grants and correspondence.
- Track funding pipelines, prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
- Foster and nurture relationships with donors, stakeholders and community partners.
Required profile
- 2–4 years of experience in partnerships, fundraising or proposal writing (paid or volunteer).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑moving environment.
- Familiarity with NGO or education sector contexts is preferred.
