About the role
The Operations Pharmacist will lead the pharmaceutical warehouse in Ibadan, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient storage, handling, and distribution of medicines and health products. This role balances strict regulatory adherence with operational performance to guarantee product integrity and uninterrupted supply.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with PCN, NAFDAC, and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) across all warehouse activities.
- Maintain optimal storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, cold‑chain, segregation, and control of restricted medicines.
- Oversee end‑to‑end inventory processes: receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, dispatch, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Review and approve inbound and outbound batches, managing expiry dates, batch tracking, and documentation accuracy.
- Investigate discrepancies, damages, expiries, recalls, and non‑conformances; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate regulatory inspections and internal audits, ensuring audit readiness and closure of findings.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics to support order fulfilment and optimal stock levels.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs aligned with regulatory and operational best practices.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on GDP, SOPs, safety, and quality standards.
- Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, stock loss, turnaround time, and compliance, and prepare regular reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or PharmD) with a valid PCN licence.
- 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical warehouse operations, distribution, or supply‑chain management.
- Proven knowledge of Nigerian pharmaceutical regulations, GDP, and audit processes.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and leadership abilities.
- Willingness to work in Ibadan and support extended operational hours.
