Operations Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, highly organized Operations Officer to oversee day‑to‑day banking operations, ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory policies, and support smooth service delivery across our banking channels.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily core banking operations, transaction processing, and account management using BankOne software.
• Perform daily postings, reconciliations, and end‑of‑day/end‑of‑month processing.
• Monitor tellering activities, cash limits, vault management and cash handling.
• Verify and authorize customer transactions within approved limits.
• Reconcile GL, suspense accounts and external bank statements regularly.
• Ensure adherence to internal control guidelines, CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT regulations.
• Address operational issues, customer complaints and system queries promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in core operations within a microfinance or commercial bank.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Hands‑on proficiency with BankOne core banking software (mandatory).
