Operations Manager / Business Director

About the role

The Operations Manager / Business Director will lead a small, cross‑functional team in Port Harcourt, driving daily operations, revenue growth and strategic partnerships for Astra Prospects' education‑focused services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead morning syncs, break down silos and ensure smooth daily workflow for a 6‑person team.
• Accelerate user conversion from free resources to premium paid tracks across all product lines.
• Oversee remote‑jobs, scholarship, community forum and travel‑compliance pipelines.
• Track and report daily/weekly KPIs for marketing, lead generation and sales activities.
• Develop and manage relationships with universities, corporate job partners and financial aggregators.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on revenue, systems optimisation and market expansion.
• Proven experience managing a team of 5+ professionals, handling conflict and driving performance.
• 3+ years in international recruitment, travel consultancy, tech hubs or professional services.
• Generalist ability to move between ad‑campaign supervision, workflow audits and customer issue resolution.
• Deep knowledge of the professional and student market in Port Harcourt and the Niger Delta region.
