Offshore Installation Manager

About the role

The Offshore Installation Manager is the senior authority on the rig, responsible for operational safety, efficiency, drilling integrity and client relations. The role ensures compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements while leading all departments to meet the client’s drilling program within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise drilling, marine and maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with company procedures.
• Coordinate with the Rig Manager and client representatives to review and execute the drilling program using daily operation plans (IADC logs).
• Decide on equipment utilisation, maintenance, and readiness, guaranteeing optimal supplies, parts, fuel, lubricants and potable water are onboard.
• Plan and supervise rig moves, including permits, regulatory compliance, mooring, station‑keeping and coordination with vessel operators.
• Lead emergency response teams, conduct well‑control and safety drills, and manage major emergencies according to company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in offshore rig environments.
• Strong decision‑making ability under pressure and excellent communication with client and internal teams.
• In‑depth knowledge of rig safety, environmental compliance and regulatory standards.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources and complex logistical operations.
