Nigeria & Ghana Head of Services

About the role

The Nigeria & Ghana Head of Services leads the services strategy, execution and market‑share growth across Nigeria and Ghana. Reporting to the Sub‑Saharan Africa Head of Services, the role sits on the SSA Services Executive Committee and is responsible for delivering revenue growth, managing risk and fostering innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business growth and expand market share in Nigeria and Ghana by executing the global services strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Manage client revenue growth, profitability and performance KPIs for the region.
• Ensure compliance with risk, control and legal‑entity governance frameworks, working closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit and Finance.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing team, promoting an inclusive and ethical culture.
• Champion innovation, digitisation and adoption of cutting‑edge technologies to improve client experience and operational efficiency.
• Formulate and execute regional business strategy, including branch, people, product and technology roadmaps.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes and competitive dynamics to influence global product development.
• Lead external engagement with regulatory bodies to advance Citi’s agenda in the region.

Required profile

• Comprehensive business management experience overseeing a large portfolio of services across multiple markets.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering revenue growth and managing profitability.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, partners and regulators.
• Deep understanding of regulatory environments in Nigeria and Ghana.
