Neighborhood Sales Manager

About the role

The Neighborhood Sales Manager will lead sales growth and market penetration for Johnvents Foods within the Marina area of Lagos. Reporting to regional leadership, you will manage distributors, develop retail channels and guide a team of Sales Representatives to meet volume and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute territory sales plans aligned with regional and national objectives.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, revenue and market‑share targets.
• Identify and develop new retail outlets while expanding product distribution and improving numeric and weighted distribution.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, promotions and market trends, providing actionable intelligence.
• Manage distributor performance, stock levels, compliance with trade policies and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure merchandising standards, product visibility and availability across supermarkets, wholesalers, open markets and neighbourhood stores.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess execution, shelf presence and customer satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate Sales Representatives and Merchandisers, setting performance objectives and delivering field training.

Required profile

• Senior‑level sales professional with at least 60 months (5 years) of experience in FMCG or food manufacturing sales.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales volume, revenue and market‑share goals.
• Strong understanding of distributor management, retail execution and route‑to‑market strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to motivate field teams.
