National Sales Manager (Seasonings)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, results‑driven National Sales Manager to lead our seasonings portfolio (cubes, powder, etc.) across the Traditional Trade channel in Nigeria. The role involves steering revenue growth, expanding market penetration and optimizing distribution networks while leading a high‑performing regional sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the commercial strategy, sales execution and market activation for all seasoning brands to achieve aggressive national targets.
• Identify emerging markets, drive traditional trade penetration and unlock new distribution channels.
• Motivate, coach and guide regional teams (RSMs, Area Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors) to exceed revenue targets.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key distributors, dealers, retailers and logistics partners.
• Oversee forecasting, stock management, promotional planning and debtor collections while maintaining P&L visibility.
• Deliver timely management MIS/decks, monitor competitor activities and provide market insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant discipline.
• At least 12 years of sales and distribution experience in FMCG, with 5+ years in a senior sales managerial position.
• Deep understanding of traditional trade distribution systems and retail merchandising in Nigeria.
• Strong grasp of P&L analysis, stock management, forecasting and budgeting.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, team leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
