National Sales Manager

About the role

A growing FMCG business is looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to lead its sales strategy and execution across food and consumer product categories in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop national sales strategies, budgets and measurable targets for regions, territories, channels and sales teams.
• Build and manage distributor, sub‑distributor, wholesaler and key customer networks and expand distribution across priority Nigerian markets.
• Recruit, lead, coach and manage a high‑performing national sales team.
• Drive revenue and sales volume growth while maintaining pricing discipline and healthy margins.
• Coordinate sales forecasts and inventory requirements with Supply Chain and Operations.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, outlet coverage and sales performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of progressive FMCG sales experience, including a minimum of five years leading substantial regional, multi‑region or national sales operations.
• Proven success in revenue growth, distribution expansion and achieving commercial targets.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian regional markets and distribution channels.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
