Moulding Manager

About the role

BIC World, a community of brands dedicated to simple and joyful products, is looking for a Moulding Manager to manage and optimise the production of its Injection Workshop. The role covers production planning, quality, maintenance, safety, personnel management and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Improve production technical resources and enhance productivity, ensuring raw materials and components are available at workstations and providing the human and technical resources needed to meet targets.
• Organise workflows and workstations: set and monitor production schedules, design performance monitoring tools, ensure deadlines are met, collaborate on new product launches, take part in investment in new machines and auxiliary equipment, and contribute to inventory operations.
• Contribute to the technical training of new setters and machine operators, lead housekeeping and cleaning of production equipment, and manage quality issues and non-conforming products in partnership with the Quality Department.
• Apply and enforce manufacturing procedures, prepare certification documentation, propose corrective actions to reduce defects, and implement the continuous improvement plan for the process.
• Keep the machine fleet running properly, promote correct use of auxiliary equipment and molds, and assess significant environmental aspects of molding operations while complying with environmental regulations.
• Enforce safety instructions and procedures, reduce workplace risks, and monitor safety levels on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Assign tasks to operators and setters, organise working time, maintain discipline, onboard new employees, evaluate performance and versatility, and promote multi-skilling.

Required profile

• BSc or Higher National Technician Diploma in Plastics Processing (Plasturgy), Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position in an industrial environment, preferably in a multinational plastics company.
• Strong attention to detail, autonomy, analytical and problem-solving mindset, and effective oral and written communication.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of plastics processing techniques.
• Injection molding machine setup and adjustment, including single-material and multi-material molds.
• Team-oriented approach with strong vertical and cross-functional collaboration.
