Mobile Plant Operator

About the role

The Mobile Plant Operator will run and maintain a range of heavy equipment—including excavators, loaders, graders, haul trucks, and dozers—within a quarry environment. The role supports overburden removal, loading, hauling, and transportation of raw materials while adhering to strict health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, graders, haul trucks and dozers safely on varied terrain and in proximity to other equipment and power lines.
• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing, lubrication and logbook entries for each machine.
• Interpret hand signals and other non‑verbal communication from ground personnel and adjust operations accordingly.
• Identify hazards, conduct pre‑job safety analyses and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–5 years of post‑qualification experience operating mobile plant equipment.
• Relevant trade certification or degree with at least 3 years experience in the cement industry.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
