Metallurgy Officer – Entry Level

About the role

The Metallurgy Officer will support the laboratory and production teams by performing chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, in‑process samples and finished metal products. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment and contributes to quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical analysis of raw, in‑process, and finished metal materials.
• Assist in laboratory testing and analysis of metals and related materials.
• Collect, prepare, and label samples for laboratory testing.
• Perform routine chemical tests following established procedures.
• Record, analyze, and maintain accurate laboratory and test results.
• Support quality control activities throughout the production process.
• Monitor material composition and flag deviations from specifications.
• Help investigate quality issues and material variations in production.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and samples.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of basic chemistry, laboratory procedures and analytical techniques.
• Good knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong numerical/analytical abilities.
