MEP Project Manager

About the role

A leading MEP engineering consultancy in Lagos is looking for an experienced MEP Project Manager to drive the full lifecycle of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. The role serves as the primary liaison between clients and the engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in coordination with clients and engineers.
• Develop execution plans, schedules, WBS, and budgets; monitor costs and manage change orders.
• Identify risks, maintain a risk register, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing expectations and facilitating design reviews.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure design documents (drawings, specifications, calculations) meet client expectations and avoid discipline clashes.
• Oversee BIM/CAD deliverables, shop drawing reviews, and RFIs.
• Maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and report on profitability.
• Lead and allocate tasks to engineers, designers, consultants, and CAD technicians.
• Conduct site visits to verify MEP installations and ensure compliance with design.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with deep MEP technical knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong experience in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
