MEP Project Engineer

About the role

Pyale Properties, a family-owned developer of residential and commercial properties including coworking spaces and serviced offices, is hiring a contract MEP Project Engineer in Port Harcourt. The role is hybrid, with some tasks done from home, and covers planning, coordinating and overseeing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for new and existing coworking and office spaces so they meet safety, quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review design drawings, and prepare technical specifications
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants
• Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress against timelines and budgets
• Troubleshoot system issues, recommend improvements and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams on tenant fit-outs and facility upgrades

Required profile

• At least 5 years of work experience
• COREN registration
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in MEP or project management are an advantage
• Experience with commercial or office fit-outs, coworking spaces or facility management is a plus

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering knowledge of HVAC, ventilation and building services design and implementation
• Electrical engineering competence, including power distribution, lighting and low-voltage systems
• Plumbing design and installation experience, including water supply, drainage and fire protection
• Project management: planning, coordination, scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder communication
• Proficiency in design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, and familiarity with building codes and safety standards
• Analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills, and ability to work in a hybrid environment

What we offer

• Remuneration of up to NGN300,000 per month plus a discretionary annual bonus
