MEP Engineer – Design & Site Coordination

About the role

Our client is looking for a proactive MEP Engineer to support the design, coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical and plumbing projects in Lagos. The role blends office‑based design work with on‑site supervision, client interaction and project hand‑over responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and modify MEP designs, working drawings, schematics and single‑line diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Develop Bills of Quantities, material take‑offs, specifications and cost estimates.
• Coordinate projects from design through installation, testing, commissioning and final hand‑over.
• Supervise site installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress and prepare project reports.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal teams, and support procurement by reviewing technical specifications.

Required profile

• B.Eng., B.Sc., HND or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years practical experience in MEP engineering, design, BOQ preparation and site supervision.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating projects from design to completion is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and residence in or near Ogudu, Lagos preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Revit MEP, DIALux or similar MEP design software (advantage).
• Ability to produce and interpret MEP drawings independently.
• Experience with BOQ preparation, material take‑offs and cost estimation.
• Understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
