Medical Officer (ER/ICU/Critical care)

About the role

We are looking for a resilient Medical Officer to join our Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit in Lagos. The role involves delivering acute clinical care, stabilising critically ill patients, and contributing to education and research in emergency and critical care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute clinical care in the Emergency Department and ICU.
• Stabilise and manage critically ill patients.
• Lead and support simulation sessions, clinical audits and case reviews.
• Participate in emergency and critical care research projects.
• Act as a clinical educator and mentor for junior staff.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with a current MDCN license.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑NYSC clinical experience.
• Prior experience in an Emergency Department or ICU.
• Strong team spirit and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Point‑of‑Care Ultrasound (POCUS) proficiency.
