Medical Laboratory Technician

About the role

Lily Hospitals, established in 1986 and one of Nigeria's leading private hospitals, is recruiting a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician for its Warri, Delta location. The postholder supports accurate and timely laboratory testing while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label and prepare patient samples for testing.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and operate laboratory equipment.
• Record and verify results accurately, escalating abnormal findings as required.
• Maintain equipment, stock and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Follow laboratory quality-control, safety and infection-prevention procedures.
• Protect patient confidentiality and keep clear laboratory records.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification or certification in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• At least one year of practical laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with routine laboratory procedures and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
• Current professional registration or licence where required.
