Medical Laboratory Scientist – Shift Based

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our 24‑hour hospital laboratory in Lagos. The role involves managing sample flow, performing routine and specialized tests, and delivering accurate diagnostic results on a shift‑based schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, identify, process and store patient specimens according to protocol.
• Conduct laboratory analyses using approved equipment and diagnostic systems.
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance standards, calibrate and service instruments.
• Interpret, validate and report test results to clinicians.
• Document all activities and keep laboratory records up to date.
• Participate in inventory management of reagents and supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Current practicing licence from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• 2–5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems and diagnostic procedures.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational abilities.
