About the role
Iprymed Laboratory & Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The role covers specimen analysis, blood banking, microbiology and pathology, and reporting results to clinicians.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse specimens such as blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid and tissue to detect signs of illness or infection
- Perform blood typing, antibody screening and cross-matching of donor blood for safe transfusions
- Cultivate and identify bacteria, viruses and parasites, and examine cells for blood cancers such as leukemia
- Interpret test data and report results to physicians and nurses
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of a BSc
- 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role
