Mechanical Fitter cum Technician

About the role

Talaxis Consulting Enterprises is seeking a Mechanical Fitter cum Technician to join its manufacturing team in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production and utility equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and high operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical fitting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and service filling machines, moulding equipment, compressors, chillers, and generators.
• Document maintenance activities and machine history accurately.
• Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• OND/HND or Trade Test/City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG or plastics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn.
