Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Candix Engineering Nigeria Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to supervise and execute plumbing system installations across projects in Port Harcourt and the Marina region.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute the installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and wastewater systems.
• Interpret plumbing drawings, technical specifications, and layouts.
• Install and maintain water supply pipes, drainage pipes, valves, fittings, and sanitary fixtures.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and system performance checks.
• Identify and resolve plumbing faults, blockages, and leakages.
• Coordinate plumbing activities with other project teams to ensure efficient project execution.
• Prepare work progress reports and maintain accurate installation and maintenance records.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of an HND.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Installation and maintenance of water supply and drainage pipes.
• Interpretation of plumbing drawings and technical specifications.
• Pressure testing and leak detection of plumbing systems.
• Use of valves, fittings, and sanitary fixtures.
