Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Dicalo Consulting Group’s Agbara Industrial Estate facility. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the performance of production machinery in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Monitor equipment efficiency and implement measures to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports for production and safety compliance.
• Ensure all work follows health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead maintenance activities and coordinate with production and technical teams.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Experience with machinery maintenance, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Familiarity with food or agricultural processing environments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment efficiency and cost control.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using maintenance or production reporting tools.
