Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will be based on-site in Lagos Island, working full‑time on the design, analysis and implementation of mechanical systems for building, industrial, oil & gas and power projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review mechanical designs and drawings, perform technical calculations and produce detailed engineering documentation using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning, execution and on‑time delivery.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and maintenance phases, including site inspections and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Contribute to research and development initiatives by evaluating new technologies, materials and methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in EPC, construction or industrial projects involving building, industrial, oil & gas or power infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, machine design and equipment specification.
• Familiarity with international and local standards, safety regulations and quality management systems.
