About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Abuja. The role involves building 3D CAD models, performing analyses, overseeing prototyping, and coordinating with manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Build 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
- Perform stress, thermal, and dynamic analyses (FEA) to verify product safety and performance.
- Oversee physical prototype development, run virtual experiments, and troubleshoot design flaws.
- Select appropriate metals, plastics, or composites and apply GD&T.
- Work alongside production teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure designs are cost‑effective and easy to build.
- Write technical specifications, operational manuals, and design review reports.
