Mechanical and Piping Engineer

About the role

Homik Engineering Limited is seeking a Mechanical and Piping Engineer to support the design and delivery of on‑shore and off‑shore oil & gas facilities. The role covers the full project lifecycle from concept through commissioning, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical datasheets, equipment specifications, technical requisitions and design calculations.
• Perform sizing and design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, storage tanks, piping and utility systems.
• Support equipment layout development, plot‑plan reviews and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, constructability and SIL reviews.
• Provide engineering input across Conceptual Design, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Start‑up phases.
• Coordinate with process, structural, electrical, instrumentation engineers and project management teams.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes (ASME, API, ISO, NORSOK).
• Maintain engineering quality, document control and ensure deliverables meet schedule and budget constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical design experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Experience in both brownfield and greenfield projects, preferably in EPC or consulting environments.
• COREN registration or NSE membership is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, GA drawings and vendor documentation.
