About the role
The MEAL & Accountability Assistant is essential for maintaining organizational integrity by establishing and operating systems that make projects transparent, responsive and accountable to all stakeholders. The role covers accountability frameworks, feedback and complaint mechanisms, and evidence-based decision-making through data gathering and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deploy accountability strategies and feedback loops to engage beneficiaries and stakeholders
- Gather, validate and analyze data to track project performance and identify areas for improvement
- Oversee database management so information used for reporting and strategy is accurate
- Carry out field monitoring and evaluations to assess project impact and check adherence to standards
- Draft reports for donors and run reflection sessions to support adaptive management
- Train staff on accountability protocols, data collection tools and compliance requirements
- Ensure all operations comply with donor regulations and humanitarian values
