Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction aligned with British and/or Scottish curriculum standards. You will join a dynamic team focused on academic excellence and student development in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver Mathematics lesson plans covering algebra, geometry, statistics and calculus.
• Use interactive methods, real‑world applications and digital learning tools to enhance understanding.
• Prepare, administer and grade tests, assignments and examinations; maintain accurate academic records.
• Maintain a structured, safe and productive classroom environment.
• Identify and support both struggling students and high achievers through differentiated instruction.
• Coach students for national and international standardized Mathematics examinations.
• Prepare progress reports and engage in parent‑teacher consultations.
• Participate in staff meetings, workshops and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education.
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable teaching experience.
• TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
• Strong knowledge of the British and/or Scottish curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
