Manager, Data & GIS Analytics

About the role

eHealth Africa is seeking a Manager, Data & GIS Analytics to lead the design, implementation and management of enterprise‑wide data systems and geospatial analytics that support health programmes across Africa. The role sits in the GIS and Data Management Unit in Abuja and works closely with public‑health partners such as WHO, NPHCDA and NCDC.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a unified data and GIS analytics strategy aligned with organisational goals.
• Design, govern and maintain data architectures, integration pipelines and GIS platforms to ensure scalability and interoperability.
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability and ethical use in line with global standards and donor requirements.
• Build and apply advanced analytics and geospatial models for disease surveillance, immunisation planning, climate adaptation and food‑security initiatives.
• Monitor data quality, implement standards and drive continuous improvement across analytics functions.
• Act as the technical advisor on data and GIS matters for internal teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data and GIS analytics initiatives in a public‑health or development context.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, governance frameworks and integration techniques.
• Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for programme delivery.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and capacity building.
